The cheapest way to send Ethereum from the Polygon Mainnet over to Ethereum Mainnet is with the Umbria Narni Bridge. In the video below you’ll see exactly how to do it.
The Umbria Narni Bridge is located at https://bridge.umbria.network/ (opens in a new tab)
Be sure to ALWAYS look to make sure you are using the right links whenever you are using your Metamask. Confirm that the spelling is correct and that you are on the right site.
Once you are on the Umbria Bridge website, you’ll need to connect your MetaMask account and then head over to the “Bridge Assets” section of the site. It will open a new link, which should be this https://bridge.umbria.network/bridge/ethereum-polygon/eth (opens in a new tab) and be sure to confirm that it is the correct site.
After you are on the correct site, you’ll want to make sure you are logged onto the “Matic Mainnet” or whatever you have named your Polygon mainnet in Metamask. Then you’ll want to make sure you select “Send from” and change that to “Polygon Mainnet”. This should update the “Receive on” option and change it to “Ethereum Mainnet” if it doesn’t, then select Ethereum Mainnet.
Once you’ve confirmed those, make sure to select “ETH” on the asset you are trying to bridge and fill in how much you would like to send. For the video above I used 0.01 ETH. Then you’ll select the “Send (Metamask)” button option and confirm the transaction.
